Techniques & Tips
Ways you can create your own distressed pattern paper:
Crumble or tear paper (optional: sponge ink to raised areas)
Drip or brush paint on paper and embellishments
Add ink to bring out the details of a dry-embossed design
Roll the paper to expose raw edges
Use the edge distresser or micro-tip scissors to fray edges
Sand over the paper and edges
Brush surface with stipple or stubble brushes, applying lightest colors first and then darker ones
Dab the sponge or daubers on an ink pad, then dab on the page for random color

10:00 am - 12 pm
Are you interested in scrapbooking, but you don’t know where to start? This class is for you! We will create 2-3 two-page layouts using CTMH’s How-To Programs, Cherish and Imagine. This is a great workshop that will allow you to create scrapbook pages that will only need photos and journaling (and maybe some embellishments) added to them later. This is a no-stress, no-pressure, and fun workshop!
Cost: FREE - other than the need to have a CTMH Level 2 My Reflections paper pack, purchased prior to class (I may have a few on hand for purchase)
Supplies: CTMH Level 2 My Reflections paper pack (purchased prior to class), 12 inch paper trimmer, scissors, adhesive (double-sided tape or tape runners work the best), clear ruler (optional), pencil (optional), Cherish and Imagine (if you own them)

It's that time again...time for a new Idea Book with tons of awesome new papers, stamps and accessories! You will be able to order from Close To My Heart's Autumn/Winter Idea Book on Wednesday, September 1st.
The Idea Book is great to look at, but there is nothing like seeing the new products in person! Stop by and check out products and artwork I've created using the new products. There will be two card projects to create using papers from two of the new collections and CTMH's acrylic stamps. I will also have a table set up of discounted items for sale! Please note: Any items new to this idea book will not be discounted.
